LostTag — Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to LostTag. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of LostTag's website, services, devices, and any related software, mobile apps, QR codes, and tags (collectively, "Services"). By using our Services you agree to these Terms.
2. Definitions
- "LostTag": the brand and company providing the Services.
- "User": any person using LostTag website, services, or devices.
- "Tag": a physical LostTag product (e.g., wristband, label) that contains a QR code and optionally a message for the finder.
- "Finder": a person who finds a lost item or child wearing a LostTag and uses the QR code.
3. Use of LostTag Devices and QR Codes
LostTag provides QR-enabled tags to help reunite lost items or children with their guardians. Users are responsible for:
- Registering tag information correctly.
- Keeping contact info up to date.
- Using tags as intended; not altering or tampering with the QR codes.
4. Accounts, Registration and Security
If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. Privacy and Data
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal data. By using LostTag you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of data as described in the Privacy Policy. LostTag only shares finder contact details with the registered guardian in accordance with user preferences and privacy settings.
6. Finder Messages and Communications
When a Finder scans a LostTag QR code, they may see an instruction and an option to contact the registered guardian. LostTag is not responsible for the content of messages exchanged between users and finders.
7. Intellectual Property
All LostTag trademarks, logos, and site content are the property of LostTag or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use our marks without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LostTag is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services. Our total liability for direct damages shall not exceed amounts paid to LostTag in the prior 12 months, if any.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LostTag harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to your account or the Services for violations of these Terms or for operational reasons.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where LostTag is registered.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms; updated Terms will be posted with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after updates means you accept the changes.
